Fatima al-Fihri loved to learn. And more than anything, she wanted to go to school. But in those days, only boys were allowed, not girls. So Fatima made a wish—she dreamed of a school for all, where everyone could study and become whatever they wanted. As she grew older and Fatima carried her wish inside her, through good times and bad. Fueled by her faith and her determination, she worked hard to make her wish a reality. For over a thousand years, Fatima's school has served students and scholars from around the globe and it continues to do so today!
