Alex has finally been reunited with Hagos Ravenstarr, her father, the King’s Enchanter, the man who created the monstrous Twilight Hauntings. She knows why she was abandoned eleven years ago. But Hagos has lost the Tau, the magical talisman that can be combined with his book, the Codex, to destroy all the Twilight Hauntings. Alex is determined to reverse the magic that created the Twilight Hauntings, but without the Tau there’s no hope of saving the kingdom of Rekkadom. To reunite the Tau and the Codex, Alex will have to cross the whole kingdom. At the end of her path, she’ll find Big Puffer, the majestic train that once connected the whole kingdom. And with her friends Benn and Danny—and maybe even the conniving foster sister Zerra—Alex will have bring the metal beast back to life if she has any hope of saving the day.
