London, 1716. Lord William Nithsdale has been charged with treason after fighting against the British crown. Found guilty, Nithsdale is taken to the infamous Tower of London, where he awaits the executioner’s blade. When Lady Winifred Maxwell, Nithsdale’s wife, learns of her husband’s impending death sentence, she sets out to free him from the “Bloody Tower.” She plots and plans to pull off a daring breakout.
