Jane Pengilly’s beloved Pop is back in rehab, and she’s on her way to her third twelve-day stint in foster care. This time, Jane is sent to live in a community out in the boonies called Three Boulders. She’s surprised to find that as time goes on, it starts to almost feel like home. Still, Jane wants to get home to Pop—but she’s got a hurt wrist from the last night they were together and is scared to tell the honest truth about what happened. Pop is her only family, and she doesn’t want to risk losing him. It’s only when Jane starts to open up to her new community that she discovers that family can have a whole bunch of different meanings.
