Knit 20 sweet and quirky baby hats! Hats are a timeless must-have baby item – so what could be better than making one yourself? The proposed designs fall into four categories: basic simple beanies (with a pompom, a rainbow stripe, a top knot, a fair isle pattern and a bow); animal hats (fox, panda, bear); food hats (apple, watermelon, pumpkin) and quirky hats (elf-style, square with tassels, bonnet, cat ears and a pixie bonnet). As babies vary so much in size, the book will give the patterns in three different sizes, which would fit (approximately) newborn to 6 months, 6-12 months and then 12-24 months. The yarns used are all hypo-allergenic, washable and with some elasticity, to help the hats keep their shape.
