After a bad breakup, falling out with her best friend, and getting fired from her job, Amelia escapes to a small island in Greece to reset her life. But after too much ouzo and wine, she gets tricked into marrying a stranger and inheriting a ramshackle hotel with him. Amelia and James agree to keep the hotel open through the busy summer season so as not to cause the economic downfall of the island's quirky but well-meaning residents. At first, they’re appalled and try to get out of it, but then guests start showing up. They must work together as partners—and friends only—to determine how to get out of their situation. But when the hotel is threatened by a big developer, it seems that this might be something worth fighting for—both the hotel, and maybe something deeper between Amelia and James, too.
