Thursday's husband, Seth, has two other wives—but she doesn't live in a harmonious, domestic, sister-wife situation: she has no idea who Seth's other wives are; she's never met them. She only sees her husband one day a week. Thursday loves Seth so much that she's ok with this arrangement, or so she thinks. When she finds a scrap of information about another of his wives, Hannah, she can’t help herself, and she tracks Hannah down, striking up a friendship with her. Hannah doesn’t know who Thursday really is, and when Hannah starts showing up to their coffee dates with suspicious bruises, Thursday realizes, with dawning horror, that Hannah is being abused by her husband. Who, of course, is also Thursday’s husband, but Thursday has never known him to be violent.
