Reno, 1938. With divorce still frowned upon in American society, women across the country flock to Reno, Nevada, where they can get an easy divorce, no questions asked. 24-year-old Ward has big dreams of going to medical school and becoming a doctor, but with the country still in the throes of the Great Depression, he’s content to settle for his job as a ranch hand at the Flying Leap – a dude ranch where rich and mostly female clientele come to stay for the six weeks required to qualify for a Nevada divorce. Ward has always been popular with the ranch’s female visitors.
